Hollywood has been many things. Part of a palatial Valletta home in the city's early days. A bar for British servicemen in the 1800s. A stationer's and bazaar in the post-war years. Then, for a long time, nothing at all.

Thomas Camilleri brought it back. Years of careful restoration (fighting termite damage, preserving the original facade, layering in vintage furniture, recycled Gozo tiles and salvaged marble) and in October 2025, Hollywood opened its doors again.

 

Today it's a small shop with a clear purpose: to gather meaningful Maltese objects and art under one roof.
